The CSS situation is worse because they also send bots out that do some form of exploit that crash players at random. If a server is unpassworded and has any sizable amount of players eventually they'll show up. I don't think the sourcemod community has figured out a fix yet because the last one they figured out doesnt work with whatever these bots do.

The only way to find a decent server in Counter Strike via server browser at the moment is to play Condition Zero

Source dedicated servers should be tied down to Steam account, and if someone fakes the servers or spoofs the playercount, the account should be game banned

Updating the older games to use the steam account token, and the ability to filter servers that have a valid token would be an absolute godsend, it wont fix all the problems, but at least it would limit people being able to spam servers by just changing the port.

Its not a spray or voice exploit as I already alluded to those fixes. Usually it affects everyone who has then rendered but sometimes not. You'll see em spawn in then a whole chunk of the server just shits out.

People however do in fact actively work on developing sprays but thats always about trying to crash players, not actually getting a remote code execution done. like yeah sure every few years theres a problem with spray exploits again and again, but you know what? these re-occuring problems are just the sprays crashing players, not remote code executing them.
