Everything has changed, from a game took a literal year or two, or even not ever getting cracked at all. The only thing Pirates can do is Offline Account Sharing (similar to Netflix Family Sharing) that can easily get patched by Denuvo sooner or later.

There's no correlation because pirates aren't a part of the market as the vast majority can't buy. FFVII Rebirth had standard DRM and was cracked immediately. It still sold more on PC than FFXVI which had Denuvo.
