morrowind was lightning in a bottle. it doesn't need a sequel, it needs a spiritual successor that follows in its footsteps. some of morrowind's ideas can't be replicated that easily, while others can certainly be taken much further. in either case, no dev has learned the right lessons from morrowind.

indeed. that is what i always wanted too. i love morrowind but am painfully aware of its many flaws. of course, i wished that TES would follow in its positive directions and iron out its kinks in subsequent games, rather than abandon all the cool and interesting things with that one. Tamriel Rebuilt + extra mods that add new systems and mechanics are the best bet nowadays, but its just such a shame. its such a hypothetically cool world and it pains me that Todd and his gang just do not see it the way me and so many other people do.

This. It will be an option between attack and magic. Stealth will be even less nuanced than in Skyrim and just depends on clothing stats now and no special perks/lockingpicking/mechanics. And there will only be one slot for clothing. There will be only heavy and light. Voice acted but only 3 dialogue option, with goodie/stupid/evil dialogue answer. Storyline which pushes you asap to be the god-king out of the prison-escape cut-scene which takes 1 hour. Etc. etc.

And the normies will eat it all up of course. It's all so tiring.

The last main Elder Scrolls was 14 years ago (I know nothing about ESO) which before every normie started playing Souls games. I think they are truly fucked unless they hire good writers, get Jeremy Soule back, and don't use the same game engine from 2008.
