New dual screen patent for switch 2
To those who wanted the switch 2 to be more like the wii u whether through flopping and having dual screen capabilities, you may wanna see this. https://x.com/MikeOdysseyYT/status/1978839968895074613
We’re already technically seeing this done on switch 2 with bananza co op, meaning that and nso could just be the start of the switch 1 being used as an extra screen for the switch 2. The funniest thing is that it’s literally the exact opposite way they could handle dual screen compared to the wii u
>wii u: make a whole new console that just looks like an accessory for the old one
>switch 2: make a whole new console that turns the old one into an accessory for the new one
It’s not a wii u, it’s a u wii.

If they can get DS/3DS games on Switch 2 it'll outsell Switch 1 easily, it'll get so many games it's actually crazy

Making the switch one an accessory would alsp help keep switch one sales going

Already imagining nintendo switch 1+2 editions
>splatoon 2 ns1+2 edition: brings back splatoon 1 wii u controls
>splatoon 3 ns1+2 edition: same thing
>kirby and the rainbow curse ns1+2 edition: maybe adds in some new mini games, a postgame with new bosses, and a way to use copy abilities
>super mario 3d world plus bowser’s fury ns1+2 edition: brings back the touchpad controls and a few new characters
>new super mario bros u deluxe ns1+2 edition: same
>super mario maker 2 ns1+2 edition: brings the dual screen touchpad controls as well as amiibo costumes on top of a new theme

I would like that, so I'm going to not believe it and hope I'm wrong for doing so.

Is bananza switch 1 co op able to be done while a switch 2 is docked?

Surprised there hasn’t been more dual screen discussion when gameshare was first introduced

Xenoblade X Definitive Edition is totally playable as-is but I really miss the charm of the map on the GamePad with the touch controls. Would be cool if all the Wii U to Switch ports got their GamePad functionality restored and at 720p. Actually, what if they extended it to another Switch 2? 1080p touchscreen there, but stupidly expensive. If they ever release an OLED model, it would be a $500+ second screen, but at least it would look good?

Pretty sure gameshare will alow any type of switch to be a second screen
Anonymous No.723439031 [Report] >>723439630
why do you need other screen?, if they want to replicate the nds, they just need to make a grip like this official and that's it

Because there are already 150+ million Switches out there. The GamePad added like $130 to the cost of the Wii U and it was mandatory and the console's capabilities suffered to accommodate that price increase. Now imagine that everyone already had a GamePad for separate reasons, and then the Wii U is released but it didn't get gimped to accommodate the included cost of a GamePad. Now because it's been framed this way, people feel like they're getting bonus functionality the situation is basically as is if they had sold a GamePad with a more capable, more expensive Wii U.

I'm keeping my Switch 1 regardless but it would probably get a shitload more use after getting a Switch 2 if that were the case.

i'd rather that just make an actual dual screen switch, like a ds
