There's something really nice about how Shu seemingly vanishes in the fog and the music goes into a pause, then when Hinako calls out he confirms that he's actually still there, and the last seconds of the song plays. Kinda funny when she calls out for him the next time, right outside the fields, and he's just there suddenly. Hinako looks like she doesn't quite understand what happened for a second.

I understand they were metaphors of things they feared the most like Sakuko didn't like the dark and Shu getting killed by his trusted partner, but why lava for Rinko? Deep hatred being equated to lava or something?
