Let me guess, wireless keyboards are shit too?

I mean if you can't percieve the difference then you don't need a wired one
it's for us with severe autism and can tell the difference in the frequency and such

MX Keys is the greatest keyboard, and I'll die on that hill. Tried to move onto a mechanical keyboard and it sucked

if you play a multiplayer gammes - yes, they make for less optimal choice

Also after 5 years their batteries will die and you will have to buy a replacement

Good wireless headphones cost 2000$+

I just bought a logi mx 4 for office and I'm already fed up by the weird latency it has even if it's tiny. The 10 year old zowie I replaced had perfect tracking in comparison.

What's the point? Are you moving it around like a wiimote?

This argument falls short when you realize that even the most autistic FPS professionals exclusively use wireless.

Any 2.4g headphone will have latency between 12ms and 20ms, the latency of wired is usually around 7ms, the difference is not noticeable by a human even in rhythm games (which happen to be the games where you can adjust for the latency anyway)

Embrace Chinese junk for peripherals.

I bought a Gamesir gamepad and it's fucking sublime. This convinced me to get an Attack Shark 11 mouse and it's 10/10. It has a 2.4g dongle, the latency is non-existent. This is also my first mouse with a 1000hz polling rate, so it feels way more responsive than my previous logitech wired mouse. It also has the little dock that recharges and serves as a transmitter for the dongle, this is very important, if I had to use the dongle in my PC the range and latency would be abysmal, but with the dock it is perfect

I don't like charging shit or replacing batteries and I'm a neet so I never have to move my shit which is why I buy wired stuff. If you need to move around a lot wireless is probably better. It also stops the formation of cable gnome habitats which can be a plus for some people but I personally have formed a symbiotic relationship with them so I don't mind.

Is that why pros use wireless?
>after 5 years their batteries will die and you will have to buy a replacement
The day my shitty logitech mouse starts lasting more than 5 years without the mouse wheel failing or double clicking issues I'll consider that

Until then I'm taking chinese wireless jank over that anyday

I used to think like that until I started getting wireless peripherals this year.

My wireless headphone's battery lasts like 200 hours, and it fully charges in 4. It's a non-problem.

I bought a wireless gamepad and mouse that came with dock stations. Just have to plop them in the station every now and then. The battery still lasts multiple weeks without charging anyway.

For advantage of wireless for these is clear
>mouse
No cable drag

>headphone
Can grab a cup of water or go to the bathroom while still listening to whatever you were listening to, can probably use the headphone on the phone/TV, no cable tangling

I've been torturing myself with all types of fancy $200 mechanical keyboards for 10+ years and yet every single time I arrive at office and type at their shitty generic $10 membrane keyboard it feels like fucking HEAVEN. But the sunk cost fallacy is killing me, I can't just abandon my mechanical keyboards now.

The amount of time I have wasted because of /v/ is just nasty.

>autistic FPS pros will use wireless peripherals in tournaments with hundreds of thousands on the line
>speedrunners will use will use wireless peripherals and have no issue hitting their subpixel frame perfect whatever the fuck
>anon on /v/ who doesn't do anything more taxing than rolling gacha finds wireless latency intolerable

I'm all in for wireless peripherals, except headphones. You get noticeably better sound out of a wired set than wireless

Try out a membrane kb with scissor switches, like you'd find on a good laptop

Wired headphones are technically better, but the freedom of being able to get up from the chair without having to take them off is unparalleled.
And nowadays it's cheap enough to get a wireless headset with good enough quality that you'd need audiophile autism to start nitpicking the differences between that and better models. If you are not in the audio mixing industry it's hard to justify a studio headset.

actually, i got one of those wireless bluetooth sound card dongles. the cm202 or something. costs like $35 and works with wired headphones.

I got a cheap Logitech wireless kb+m combo and it works fine, my only issue really is that the mouse is way too sensitive, I have a hard time doing double clicks without the cursor moving ever so slightly, this bothers me specifically in Ragnarok online since you start dragging the items instead of using them when you double click

That is not a problem with your mouse, it's a problem with old MMOs.

That's why OSRS is unplayable without the anti-drag plugin. Maybe a similar setting exists for Ragnarok.

my last Logitech mouse lasted 9 years before the mouse wheel developed problems. probably fixable, but don't care about fucking around with it.
now I'm using the same exact one again, also 9 years old, which I got from my brother because he replaced it for a wireless one.
my cherry keyboard is 10+ years old by now and I repaired water damage on it 5+ years ago. no problems with it ever.
my headset approaches 7 years, but here I had to switch the ear cushions once (new ones have cost me less than $10)
my last mobile lasted nearly 8 years because I only buy outdoor ones where I can switch the battery (did it once)
Anonymous No.723472571 [Report]
I can see why people like wireless headphones and mice. But a keyboard I don't understand, unless you're using it on the couch or on the go with a laptop or something like that.

I can use my gaming mouse for like a week straight, has a loading docket, but I also got a ergonomic mouse that has a AA battery and that battery for some reason lasts almost an entire year now. I don't even know how that's possible. I used that mouse daily for hours. Last month it started to show low battery but it's still going.

I only get a couple of gaming session out of my wireless controller which is pretty annoying.

I got a pair of speakers that also support bluetooth but I have to run them wired because 10% of the time it gets some sort of interference that fucks up the entire audio. Then a couple of hours later it's fine again. I got no idea what it is.
I feel like I can't trust wireless headphones after that.
