Basically this. Every character plays the same. You're playing the mechanics, not the character.

>SFV was the only 3D game to have it
>it was added over 5 years after launch

Drive Rush is the worst SF mechanic ever made

Everyone with SFV derangement syndrome forcing themselves to like it and shielding the game of every criticism to its detriment.

V-tuber marketing in japan

Positive first impressions from retard journalists because of World Tour mode (which isn't even good) and not pointing out how shit the mechanics are.

4 characters a year

1 balance patch a year

Modern mode

Worst SF OST

i can go on

You want this to be a live service game or what? Fighting games don't need constant patches and dlc characters are bad for them.

What gets me is it would be so easy to add a Classic Mode to SF6 that would disable the drive system and let you play a more old school method, but I guess Capcom is afraid that would split the player base? Or even become more popular than regular mode? Why would that be a "bad thing" anyway?

>guess Capcom is afraid that would split the player base?
It would.
>Or even become more popular than regular mode?
It would.
>Why would that be a "bad thing" anyway?
Because it would be boring for secondaries to watch on stream, and that's what they care about now.

The game sold 5 million copies, still have a decent playerbase 2 years later, and will probably have 2 more seasons.

Obviously it has problems, but it's clear the good outweighs the bad.

the servers keep disconnecting and they gave me a yellow card and now it takes like 10 min to find matches. I pretty much stopped playing it after that.
and no i was not rage quitting, the servers kept disconnecting and i know it's not my internet because gbvsr doesn't do that.

The Drive system kinda turned everybody into a rushdown character. I actually like OD and Burnout a lot, but I don’t like Drive Rush or Impact much. I also wish that Drive Parries just worked more like 3S parries instead of parrying both lows and highs.
The soundtrack isn’t the series’ best, and most of the newcomer characters are kinda wack.

midwit take, the game is entirely designed around drive rush, that's why moves are extremely minus and very difficult to hit confirm, you can't strip it out of the game and get an enjoyable experience
drive rush in itself would not be an issue if you weren't able to manipulate it so easily that checking it is always a hazard

even then, the hitboxes in the game are not designed to check drive rush, tons of character only have sweeps as a disjoint and trades are extremely frequent

Drive Rush gave basically everyone Makoto's mobility, it's incredibly aids.
