I loved this game, some of my best memories are me and my dad trying to figure this shit out. My first exposure to gamer rage was my dad losing his shit against the lava dragon dude.
I gave up trying to get A rank on all levels for the true ending. That one level where you must ride a rocket. Fuck doing that shit.

That level was brutal to S-rank. 50-second threshold but the "go-to" strat basically only gives you ~28 seconds to reach the exit before the rocket explodes off-screen. Felt good in a twisted sort of way.
