Haven't heard, instead of me looking up a trailer why don't you share your opinion? This is a safe space.

boring walking simulator
instead of real puzzles they just have "guess what the devs wanted you to do next", that's the whole game
a game whose very meager entertainment value can be fully extracted with 2% of the time investment by just watching a youtube video
one of those games that nobody plays but the devs constantly astroturf it on v to trick people into thinking it has a fanbase (see also onirism, slay the princess, etc.)

kemera betaries :DDDDDD
But seriously though it was great! Mark is a hero and I even went and bought INFRA and Obenseuer after and was not disappointed

Act 1 > NPP > Act 2 > most of Act 3 >>> Turnip Hill
Seriously the game was best when it took place outside and interactions were still mostly about structural engineer's job with slight hints of conspiracy. It nosedives at the end of Act 1 when they dump half of plot onto player. Some locations form later stages are very well made but it feels as an artificial stage built for game with escape room logic instead of actual industrial locations. That being said the last level is truly a return to the form.

Not buying it in early access but how's Obenseuer shaping up?

I liked that INFRA mostly mixed up the inside and outside locations.
Bunker may be my fav one.

100%, they should've stuck to that premise for much longer, so all the conspiracy stuff hits harder

>Turnip Hill
One of the comfiest locations in the game for me. I didn't want to upgrade my apartment in Obenseuer for a long time because it had that aesthetic.

The only locations I didn't like were the city and the lake near the end. The rest is all good.

Shaping up to be pretty good. It's rough starting out and you're meant to do a bunch of side gigs to make enough cash to slowly start upgrading your shitty apartment. The story is more heavily focused on the conspiracy / supernatural stuff of INFRA but the general gameplay is management sim kino.

I can't hate Turnip hill because it's a nice change of atmosphere but I absolutely hate the entire city apocalypse part.

Any other game that you will never be able to convince your friends that you're having fun with?
Besides Rain World I mean

To me Turnip Hill feels like devs got bored and just went overboard with memes. Problem is that while whacky shit happens throughout the game constantly it's sprinkled in with moderation thus keeping believable yet strange dreamy facade. It treads the real/surreal line very well and leaves player with Lynchian "Twin Peaks" atmosphere. Turnip Hill uses similar themes but opens floodgate with them. And suddenly, you don't feel like being part of a weird dream but you happen to be in a themepark showered with whacky stuff left and right.
I completely support making whole Obenseur game based around it but it just doesn't belong in Infra.
And even those strangely comforting hideouts you discover throughout the game don't hit the same here. Feels like they try too hard.

Flooded city is indeed weak. No doubt about that. By lake you mean those flooded fields you teaverse on a boat?

It is very grindy. All of the oddjobs are tied to skills that get better as you do them, but the money you get for selling those things is shit until you level them up, but leveling them up is so time consuming. Once you get tenants in the shittier apartments it sort of helps but most of your money is going to come from cheesing one of the jobs. The current 'best' way of doing it is making scam letters to get real money, then use the real money to trade for the coins. Jail time is faster than leveling some of these things.

Will post a few screenshots of my current set up. This is the max tier apartment currently and I don't really like the aesthetic as much as the third tier. This is my kitchen / brewing area. I used to farm mushrooms below the brewing set up but I ran out of space for them in my freezer.

My workshop is meant to look like Mark's from the good ending. The 3D printer just prints bottles, then behind the fish tank is a electronics workbench.

Bedroom is meant to look kind of shabby since canonically the guy lives here alone and has no visitors at all. I used to just cram a bed in the hallway leading to the workshop room and used this as a living room of sorts before I upgraded it and the aesthetic was ruined.

>That part in the slums where you have to dispose of a body in a way that heavily implies the local restaurants serve them as food
That was far too grim for me. The game felt semi realistic until that utterly fucked dystopia bit that was then forgotten immediately after,

People hate the city part? I liked it a lot, it has the nicest "finally I can see the sky again" part of any chapter and it's neat having another setup like the train station where all the regular working people are juuuust out of reach doing their thing (in this case, partying and drinking by candle/lantern light).

its a where the fuck do i go kind of game
needing a guide to get through turnip hill was annoying as fuck and i died a billion times in the last level
going through the old sewer system and finding old history was pretty cool and interesting
