"American Creatures" in FF7 (US)
>Ruby & Emerald Weapon were only in the US version
>so says the official strategy guide of FF7 (1997)
>cant find any info on this anywhere else

What the fuck?

The gap between the Japanese release of FF7 and the US release let Square tweak some things. The US release added Emerald Weapon and Ruby Weapon as superbosses, Diamond Weapon as a fightable boss (whereas he was just used for a cutscene before), a new weapon from Yuffie (which could be stolen from Diamond Weapon), an FMV scene showing the extra Weapons, an additional story scene correcting a plot hole the Japan release had, and a hidden (and mistranslated) reference to the upcoming Xenogears. All these were eventually added to the Japanese release of FF7 International, along with a sort of 'museum' disc where you could look at any item, background or model from the game.

They did it in multiple games. Kingdom Hearts had 4 bosses that weren't in the japanese release, including one named after a kid who won a contest (Kurt Zisa).

Ruby and Emerald were added to the US version (and added to the Weapons Awakening CG scene in a very half-ass way), and Diamond was given a proper boss fight as well.
Kalm guy is also a "American Creature" as he was added to the US version too.

Japan does this constantly, added new shit to the western/global release, then re-release it in Japan with that shit added (and usually some new shit on top of that)

Most of it was covered in some game mags at the time, this link has the book I'd read about most of it in: https://archive.org/details/GamefanVolume5Issue09September1997/
FF7 was more or less the start of Square tweaking games for other territories and then re-releasing them in Japan as International/Final Mix copies.

Yes, and it offered a revamped Sphere Grid and included a post-game epilogue that served as a prologue to X-2 as well. Those were added as an apology because the PAL release was so long after the other territories.

They're also present in the European and Australian versions and the Japanese "international" release.

>PALfags won for once
>Burgers never got to fight the superbosses
Thats so bizarre

They did eventually, they were put into the FFX HD Remaster, and the X-2 HD Remaster put the previously Japan-exclusive Last Mission in all territories.

This happened all the time before simultaneous global releases became the norm. Devs would finish things that they couldn't do in time for the local release and would sometimes add things in if they still had time before the localizers were done translating. Usually this would then be followed with another release in the country of origin which adds these new features in and they would add a new subtitle for the game.
The fact that you didn't know this is and thought it was a KH exclusive thing is proof that you are a zoomer (possibly underageb&) and gay (KH fan)

Nobody played them though. Peak Final Fantasy hype was long dead by then.
