Threadly reminder that the 2B budget for GTA 6 is made up nonsense that has never been substantiated by any credible source or even leaker, and that the dev budget is likely more in the ~500M range give or take (RDR2 dev budget was 265M, and that was with Rockstar going all hands on deck).

I actually don't hate Indians, a lot of them are as skilled as anyone in the west, but this is what you get when you outsource labor to another country with the idea of saving some money. Remote work produces worse results and keeping an entire company's worth of foreign remote workers on the payroll in a developing country is a recipe for losing money and getting mixed results which will have to be fixed by other developers.

I could see it costing 100 million in full production so if it takes 6 years, it's 600 million bare minimum, then you throw in all the ads they're gonna do, probably 200-400 million. So minimum spend will be 800-1000 million. But none of that comes close to 2 billion.

Also keep in mind most of the money goes to marketing. The actual dev budget isnt that big. Marketing costs almost as much as the entire development if not more in AAA games.
