Ash was a good character. She had beliefs that pissed people off, that made sense for her character, and she wasn't willing to ditch them just to get on Shepard's good side. People call her racist, and she is technically, but she's also right and the text of the game supports her. Humanity is getting screwed over by the aliens. You as a player deal with that shit through the entire first game! But she can't tell the difference between these two upstanding individuals and she's white...ish... so she's irredeemable to a certain type of folk.

One of my favorite romances because it's just kinda realistically underwhelming. Very "some chick I used to date who fell off." Ash looks like she Posts Fox News articles on Facebook. You get with Ash and you end up with 2 kids in a functional but unexciting marriage. Wheat bread woman.
