i was just looking at armor sets from ds3 and everything is such glossy brown turd. like someone took lacquer and applied it to every armor piece. its clearly bloodbourne engine used for ds3 but in that game the gloss made sense cuz ure wearing leather mostly and the puddles/blood are "wet" looking. but that doesnt translate to ds3. its all brown, piss glossy swampy shit and i just cant with it. also it lacks all the charm of ds1 that it was trying so hard to emulate.

Dark Souls was always about rolling through enemy's attacks and spamming R1. MAYBE YOU SHOULD LE GET LE GUD

Bloodborne is objectively by all metrics a superior game. DS3 reeks of cut corners and a general lack of care compare to Bloodborne which is more polished, looks and plays better, and does something more unique with the formula than simply rehashing DS1 while ignoring the handful of good things DS2 did

I really never understood the hate for Dark Souls 3.
The gameplay is just Bloodborne with shields and everyone likes Bloodborne.
Elden Ring has the same gameplay and everyone likes that even though it's a copy paste fest

The only criticism I ever hear levelled against 3 is that it takes too much from DAS 1 and it has a bad story, which
1. its a sequel
2. the story in these games is always made up a few months before release, its not important

Face it. DAS3 is the best game in the franchise second only to DES
You have to be insane to rank it below Dark Souls 2 which has like 2 real levels and the rest are just 5 minute long blocky hallways to a fog gate

Both games are very polished but also suffer from questionable design decisions.
You can soiface over the door knocking but you can just as easily soiface over interactable Firekeeper and dragons having a very diverse set of fire breathing animations they only use if you try to cheese them.

Turning off the flame was the good ending of DKS1. Because chosen undead sacrified himself to keep the flame going on the events of DKS3 happened.

"age of darkness" is the good ending, by abandonning the magic of the world you end this undead curse and the existence of demonic beings, but at the same time the world become like IRL, nihilistic without any proofs that magical beings and gods existed in the past, and death as the final end. This is still better than forcing a rotten false golden age.

It's a /v/ specific thing that happened because when Bloodborne came out /v/ got really salty and everyone posted shit like this, mined a lot of salt and had a good laugh at probably the most abrasive point in console war history.

So when from went back to just releasing multiplats nothing could be close to BB otherwise the fun was over, so /v/ has been trying to Tortanic From Soft ever since, because when you really think about it there has been absolutely nothing game wise that /v/ can shitpost about exclusive wise in a decade.
