I want more emotionally charged death games. Only ones I know are Danganronpa, 999 series, and YTTD.

Kinda unrelated but I recommend giving Liar Game a try if you enjoy the concept of death games and battles of wits. Trust me when I say it is the best in the genre of "smart games". Akiyama is the most brilliant character ever written, I don't think he was surprised even one single time thorough the 100+ chapters, and he faced people that would run circles around settings like Danganronpa or 999.

Oh good point. Yes the ending is garbage OP, absolutely worst ending in the history of all fiction, so don't hold any hopes for it.
It's a 100000/10 journey for a 1/10 ending.
