it’s just people who leave discs out in the open
disc binders should ideally be the number one reason for faulty discs, but unfortunately that’s not how it is

What? Why? I have some stored in them and they're fine after a decade or two. I guess you've been using shitty CD-Rs.

I can confirm this. Wagies here pay half their salary in taxes for hospitals, schools, etc that nobody can use because they're overrun with niggers who don't pay a cent for it.

in a climate controlled, dry, dark environment in a protective case? Yes, yes they will.
Leaving something out in moisture, in the sun, in the heat no it's not going to last. That applies to almost everything that isn't made of corrosion resistant metal.

If you rub a peeled banana on the bottom side of your disc and put it in the microwave for a minute, and not more, it fixes it enough to work again.
I did it plenty of times back in highschool. The method still works today.

Why would you ever go back to nu chrome? After they fucked ublock origin I would never go back to that piece of shit. Even if Firefox shat the bed everyday I would prefer it over chrome, but it works fine for me so far.
