The study suggests Zoomers want less focus on romance in their media, with more focuses being made on friendships of a non-romantic nature. This would make sense because a staggering amount of movies and television have been focused on love that they haven't been getting from people around them.
Additionally a desire to see less sex on the screen is understandable; since it's been at best highly voyeuristic as a trend to begin with. I've never seen a movie with 3 minutes of strategic camera angles of nude grinding and bouncing and said "wow, that's really what the movie needed more of, bad pornography".
