Karryn's Prison was done entirely in rpgmaker and it's literally all combat
Shame the sequel is going to be a fucking NTR deckbuilder, I would love more games in the "only combat" hyper-replayable niche.

you can't make the stock/default combat into anything good. unless you do something like karryns prison >>724054591 where you write a bunch of custom plugins and do a bunch of unintended stuff, but then it's not stock anymore. even the ''you can get groped/stripped but it won't lead to a scene'' basic sex combat sucks and I think that's purely default rpgm
it's definitely impressive if someone makes a car float, but a boat would do the job a lot better. turn based combat will never float
the only type of gameplay that works for rpgm is puzzle/point and click, because even though it might not be good in 99% of cases, it still has 1% of being better than having combat

I can't find if there's anything to do after unlocking the ghost as a party member so I guess I finished the game, nothing else to play forever.

I mean it's under a different title but it's the third game in the trilogy, it's set after Karryn just like Karryn was set after Meltys
Sex is being entirely divorced from combat mechanics because Rem is paranoid about potentially needing a patch. It's a deckbuilder where you make decks out of pre-set card packs made of outfit pieces. So gameplay variety comes from dressing up Amelya in different ways, while the sex scenes are back to the VN style. You are basically managing a village while doing roguelike runs to accomplish an overarching goal. There is a strict time limit due to magical corruption, a goal of the game is to not be able to see all H content in one run so you play it multiple times. There are two kinds of H-scenes; sex scenes with Amelya's boyfriend, and sex scenes where Amelya fucks her corrupted villagers for resource advantages to get better outfits/cards between runs at the cost of her relationship. There's no pure run; you either fuck the boyfriend or fuck villagers.
Huge step backwards imo. I'm following it, but every time Rem posts a dev blog I die a little inside
