Original has that stark, desolate, cold atmosphere. I don't care if some of it was incidental and they wanted more wildlife and a whole another genre, the lush warm tropical beach doesn't fit the purpose.
The clear sky made it feel like you are looking up from a petri dish.

Lol, it won't. This will sell "ok" but will hurt from being on Gamepass. The Sony fanbase might play it or they'll ignore it. A lot have already played MCC on PC anyway.
It'll get middling reviews averaging around 70's. People will say how it feels dated and uninspired. You'll get all the reviews saying Halo was never good and this is proof, that it was only nostalgia.
Halo will be dead and irrelevant again. If they were going for a remake then they should have went all out instead of trying to keep it somewhat similar like a remaster. This just feels like an enhanced version of Anniversary. We should have gotten level restructures (repeating rooms and hallways fixed), new story elements, new enemies and weapons, faster movement speed, etc. They needed to give Halo the Doom 2016 treatment.

Side note, I think Use Of Weapons might be the most well designed adventure porn ever written. The whole book is about being some l33t master general and or super spy or assassin, getting dropped into a society to destabilize it with infinite money and no risk to yourself, and fighting wars/fucking women the whole time. Banks had a stellar imagination. The fantasy of being James Bond has nothing on being an SC agent

doesn't really bother me. As for remakes, the original game will always exist so I never really get upset about them. I'm almost 40 and I've played the originals of all the remakes I've ever played and I just don't mind them at all. I feel like people just throw temper tantrums over the most stupid autistic details that get changed.

I'll be playing this just because playing Halo on a PS5 will be cool to do, I hope they port the MCC as well, I wouldn't mind having an excuse to play through all the other Halo games again at least the pre-343 ones. I've never played Halo 5 or infinite and don't want to.
