Most who say they want goths don't even actually want goths, they just want high contrast normal women but are too retarded to properly articulate that. I used to know a really cute girl kinda like picrel but would never consider her a goth unless stretching the definition generously, and even then I'd probably call her emo instead, yet that'd literally be goth today because normies are too retarded to think things through.
But the bigger issue at hand is that modern Western definitions are just so fucking superficial and broad. We had perfectly good words to describe - and only describe - girly crossdressing boys (traps), pretty boys (bishounen), girly boys (sissies/tomgirl), etc. yet for some reason all of that was thrown out of the window for femboy which is haphazardly applied to any vaguely feminine guy, from Astolfo to Android 17, and it's muddied what exactly it's supposed to describe.
It's all a skinsuit and potentially anything for minimal effort clout, just like everything else hollowed out and commodified by normalfaggots' profound lack of criticality being the lowest fucking denominator.
