Resource system
Constantly looking for every scrap of energy and running back and forth to burn enemies was just a chore at the level they've set it. The random nature of drops being the difference between death or gg ez over and over just wore me down.
>>724629445 (OP)
It's like a 7/10, but still pretty enjoyable. I wish there was more enemy variety and it wasn't really that scary (there are like two jumpscares that got me the entire game).

It was fun but I had the same problem as >>724630510
with the resource system, i am autistic enough to walk back and forth to min-max my resources
>>724629445 (OP)
I loved it and am currently on my NG+ playthrough. Fuck the haters, it's a fun, challenging action survival horror with really nice graphics if you're not a brown thridie.
>>724629445 (OP)
Game crashed during the shaders compilation three times so i gave up and refunded it
Im compelled to give it another try once it has had some more patches hopefully one of those fixed my issue cause the game seemed interesting
>>724630510 >>724631602
I think the real problem is actually how easy and safe it is to just backtrack at almost any point in time. I played that way too and was disappointed to find out I'd never run into new monsters in the same hallways and rooms.
>>724629445 (OP)
Far from groundbreaking, but its pretty good.
This anon (>>724630510) wasn't a fan of the resource scarcity, but I think its a very important element of the game and executed quite well.
If you remove that feature, or soften it to the point of triviality, then the game is far less tense.
Overall I didn't like it. I don't care for floating concrete apocalypse level design, and I think the scarce resources are there to cover up a pretty basic and boring combat system.
The hospital section fucking ruled, though, and if the game had more level design and pacing like that it would've been 10/10 for me.
>>724634454
The hospital was the only place that felt like a real dungeon to me. The catacombs and early game were too linear. Second dungeon got close but still felt a bit too linear.

He also didn't understand that you could play FPS games with a mouse for years. His opinion should be discarded as that of a midwit idiot who likes to sound more intelligent than he actually is.

That part took me a few tries on my first playthrough too. Save your flamethrower ammo for when you really need it (because otherwise you can't stop an enemy from powering up or to stun a bunch of enemies ganging up on you)
>>724635420
Gotta be efficient with your ammo expenditures. Line enemies up for penetrating multi damage with the pistol, save your shotty rounds for a big group of enemies or the big fuckers. Use the corpses of enemies to bait others into trying power up and then burn the fuckers.
