Emulating this and I keep crashing at the same sequence when you first meet Meryl . Anyone have any lucky with specific settings I could try messing with? Might just need to get a PS3 for this and peace walker

if there's one game that you could get by with watching on youtube instead of playing, it's MGS4. The whole amount of gameplay totals to about 4 hours, and most of that is being extremely generous with how you define gameplay.

Absolutely not. MGS4 fluctuates like crazy in its quality, and it's a fuck disaster story-wise, but it's still a damn solid video game.

I'm also playing through them for the first time and am on MGS4. I already had a PS3 and a buddy already had the disk, so it wasn't a hurdle for me. What I'll say is that the highs of the gameplay are some of the best in the series, as the guns are a blast to use and the environments are dense with secrets. That being said, while I'm enjoying it greatly there are stretches of 40+ minutes where it's literally just cutscenes. 1-3 had that occasionally, here it bookends 20-40 minutes of gameplay to the point that it feels lopsided.

Maybe get a PS3 and hack it so you can play other shit later, but don't buy a PS3 just for this

It will be in collection vol 2 but I have seen multiple Youtubers fully play through the game on emulation, and these where by the numbers twitch whores so they couldn't have been that technically literate.

I was able to play Drakengard 3 no problem but I couldn't get MGS4 to run either so I had to dig out my old PS3 for it. If your PC is like 8 years old it might be too weak or something.
