I was going to say you need Nvidia for accelerated path-tracing, but the details as to if that's the case are ambiguous or require an update that won't happen, but you won't get features like ray reconstruction. However, AMD's recent fuck-up with dropping support for RDAN1 and RDNA2, despite the latter still getting new iterations in handhelds for example, is eye-opening, and may already be a deal-breaker for you. Defenders like to say that Nvidia's own drivers don't get performance boosts from updates on older gens, but conveniently ignore when they need updates for games to work correctly, like the brief fiasco with the broken shaders on AMD that gave a rainbow-color effect. AMD's only backtrack was that they'll provide tuning updates when deemed necessary, refusing to commit to day-zero updates. Though, you might get better support from Linux's MESA drivers in the long-term.
