Last time I checked they're still releasing the same CoD shit every year like they did during the PS3
Hard to call an era "retro" when the era is still somewhat alive

retro isn't about how much time has passed, it's about the difference in style. retro is oldschool and fundamentally looks different. nobody is looking at ps3 graphics and going "Woah games looked like that?!" so it can't be retro. this is like calling HD retro because it's not 4k. it's stupid.

>The base of the controller is the SNES controller from 1990, which is obviously retro
>The Sony specific alterations to the controller are from 1994, which are obviously retro
>The nearly identical Dualshock that added 2 analog sticks to compete with Nintendo is from 1997, which is obviously retro
>The gyroscope that distinguishes the Sixaxis and Dualshock 3 from its predecessors was developed in 1743, which is obviously retro
>Control schemes for PS3 games started trending increasingly towards dual analog free camera, which is a 1994 PC control scheme adapted for controllers in the 2000s, which is obviously retro
>The PS3 still used optical discs (developed in 1884) after digital downloads started becoming more prevalent, which are obviously retro
>The PS3 still used old TV connectors, which are obviously retro
>The PS3 could be installed with GNU+Linux, an OS from 1991, which is obviously retro
The PS3 was retro when it came out.
