He was cancelled for calling himself an Software Engineer while not actually having the college paperwork or job title to prove it, but having repeatedly (on his channel) showed he had all the skills of one. Basically, for a long time no one cared. Someone discovered he wasn't an sw engineer on paper. And then there was a whole controversy that he'd "lied" to his audience about being a software engineer.
As far as controversies go it was kind of stupid and the cancel attempt, even though it was based on something true, had zero effect because no one really cares about whether you have a job title or college papers anymore. Especially when he actually seems to have the technical skills regardless of credentials.
