I read plenty of VNs. I specifically want one that will be updated far into the foreseeable future to keep up with. I'm turning to gacha because they have the revenue to actually supply that at a strong pace.

Magia Exedra is definitely the best of the recent games in that regard.

There are other good narratives too, if you are a VN fan I'm sure you know Fate has a good reputation, but they are usually very slow or don't pick up until after years of content worth of gameplay.
Exedra has the unique feature of being a collection of short stories that feed into an overarching mystery, so you have already gotten a satisfying narrative arc by the time most gachas are still doing painful slice of life meandering.

Blue Archive is very easy. You can go autismode and minmax but the majority of the game doesn't require any of that. Most of it is reading fun stories.

Blue archive is peak slice of life with some added shonen sprinkled here and there.
If you like megucas then Magia Exedra, you know what you are in for.
The main story of Genshin was ok'ish, the sidequests were fun tho, not very visual novel friendly.

I play it but it's nothing to write home about. Stock standard 5 girls in row. Instanced fights, no dungeons. It has multi-skips for cleared content like dailies, and has auto-battle, so it's very low effort to keep up daily. Atmosphere is nice and I like Megucas (even many reco ones), so I keep playing it. Here's my 3rd reroll which I kept.
