If so, they didn't. In 2004 Battlefront, you only play as a B1 for the first map of the CIS campaign. Every map after has B2s instead, same as instant action.

I don't like B2s constantly getting disrespected as basically the same worthless fodder as the B1s instead of the badass killing machines they were in Republic Commando
Republic Commando did a fantastic job at portraying droids as a threat. B1s are still fodder but the appearance of a B2 is enough to make Boss focus his boys on it.
DICE'S Frostbite engine is beautiful and I'm still sad EA got its rights revoked after the vf2 shitshow. I'd still like a Battlefront 3 from EA/DICE.

I consider B2 scarier than droidekas since droidekas are very niche in how they can be used while B2 are just walking fire that will keep advancing and shooting until you shoot them dead. B2 seem like canon fodder because they're the front line infantry that soak up more damage and deal more damage back than the more jack of all trades master of none B1 droids.
