End game content in wow , especially pre-cata, has always been competitive. Most are "Chill" as they will tolerate a wipe or two, but after the 4th or 5th one, as expected, the groups break down.

If this is in regards to the lawsuit, from what I understand, blizzard has limited power on what they can do since the servers are hosted in Russia.

Despite this threat though, what amazes me, is that the devs are still putting out content.

From aggro poopsock to dad gamer, it's large enough that you can find the whole spectrum. Either join a guild with regular raid times, or try your luck with pugs. When I played at the start of the year I didn't want to commit to a schedule due to work, so I joined pugs, which were usually pretty fun, but it's not like the mechanics are very difficult in the first raids. It's more a bout the setup and making sure people know what their job is.
You wont get around using discord though, since it's used for loot reserves and at least listening to shots being called during fights.

Oomkin, Ret/Prot and Ele/Enh were basically dead at max level.
Compared to vanilla, they got a lot better (or viable) during leveling, but are still getting outshined by specialized classes at endgame. At least in the raids I've joined you had your warriors, rogues, mages, warlocks at the top of damage unless there was a stark gear difference.
