In short:
- for a quite time there is a "gloom" a spore cloud infesting planets. Giving more violent bugs
- Oshaune was a planet heavily changed by bugs. It included new map type with cave exploring (limiting usage of stratagems)
- Also new enemy types, sort of "acid dragon" and "dune like sandworm". The latter was responsible for spectacular failures.
- The first assault served as reconnaissance. The difficulty spike was too much for casual bugdiver.
- HOWEVER, DEVS fucked up, the game was unplayable. Constant game crashes, players got stuck during reinforcements. It was a disaster, and promised to work on patch.
- Then usual campaigns around squids, bots. Narrative was about making sure that DSS can be used on gloom
- In last few days a final assault was commenced. GMs were more or less tweaking the progress against and in favor of playerbase.
