How to find good games.
1. Steam
2. Sort by release date
3. Filter to display demos only
4. Play until you find a good one
5. Repeat Daily

I figured you dumbasses always whine about being unable to find games so I thought I'd explain how it's done :)

Sometimes I'm even willing to give games without a demo a shot, if they look decent enough.

I played Tears of Metal, the demo has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating.
I turned it off after 10 minutes.

It's a "fun with friends" game. They often get good reviews despite being pretty derivative, especially if free.

The most recent game I beat in the obscure/underrated/new release category is Greek Tragedy. It's got about 4 reviews, which is a real shame because of the amount of original things it did. It's got great puzzles and it's villain acts vaguely competent and you do not get to see who the villain is at all unless you put in real effort to solving the optional puzzles. Because villains try not to reveal their face and tell everyone their plan, it's not smart.

Plus when the villain's plan finally is revealed, it's fucking hilarious. Most of the endings were funny. It's nice to see something that isn't a copy of Resident Evil's basement lab plotline.

people without any taste of their own have to rely on others to provide it. they can't really think for themselves.

You can circumvent all this by just joining decent discords for what you're interested in. It's like what /v/ was 10 years ago.

Discords are full of freaks that I don't want anything to do with? Sometimes I don't buy games because they officially associate with that website.

Damn, is that the unholy trinity of Steam shovelware or what. Replace Pixel Art with Kickstarter or Patreon and you got a bona fide abomination.

The puzzles/gameplay look decent enough to me, and that's all that really matters. It's an escape room game, how good does it really need to look?

i just finished Fear and Hunger 2 and i'm thirsting for games with this much SOUL and atmosphere. is there anything even remotely similar? only thing i could do without is maybe how tedious the hunger system was throughout.
