People talk shit about it like it trivializes the game but not a single person who thinks that has done a no-item clear of normal difficulty so their opinions on the game being “casualized” are less than cow shit to me.

The game needs these little assists, it’s fucking chaotic enough as is. The OG Ninja Gaiden titles did tons of little “cheats on the player’s behalf” as well, going all the way back to your guard auto-cancelling attack endlag. The game is balanced around it.

Is this one of the soft cheats. I was playing Chapter 10 on Warrior, and Ryu teleported into the air to do an OT on a delimbed enemy. I saved footage of it but I don't know how to turn it into a webm. Thought it was interesting.

most of of this garbage games programing is just glitchy incorrectly ported mechanics, characters awkwardly being teleporting in a glitchy manner.
because the retarded incompetent devs were too shit to program anything properly.
this didn't happen with the guillotine throw or OTs in the other games. they were completely seamless and glitchless.

If you ever played the original NG games you’d know how much Ryu gets snapped into OT position. I mean for fuck’s sake 90% of the gameplay is OT and UT and they’re both glorified cutscene attacks. It’s just how NG is. The game is balanced around rewarding you for good tactical plays and punishing you for bad ones and has always used a lot of little assists to help correct decisions pan out in practice.

You can't do an OT in the air. the enemy must be in a ground state so it's looks like those rocks there are acting as the ground and they are way smaller than any other ground surface in the game so the OT sequence extends beyond them like a character standing on the edge of a platform.

The combat in 3 would be perfect without rocket spam, I really enjoy the combat but the spam is not fun. I really hate no other game has this combat.

Just beat the game. I enjoyed it. It's not perfect. there's a lot I didn't like. There's a lot I would change. But the gameplay was fun. Genuinely what sort of slop must people enjoy playing if they can't stomach this gameplay? Like there are countless games out there with much worse gameplay and they get called GOTY all the time.

Anyway I don't know what to play now. Guess it's back to wasting time on Marvel Rivals :(
