Constant achievement and feeling of progression with a satisfying conclusion over a total of about 20 hours tops.

i actually think there's nothing wrong with spacing them out a little more than this game does, but it's probably just frontloaded at the start

It's mostly Missile Upgrades and remember, each Upgrade just gives you one more Super Missile.
