Facts.

The only game that truly deserves a remake is Dark Souls, so that they can finish the second half of the game. Once brought into equilibrium with the first half, it will simply be the greatest game of all time.

It's a great story and fantastic world, stuck in one of the most aged engines with outdated designs facilitated by said engine. It could be a point and click, and nothing would be lost outside of the iconic top down perspective.

Mostly true, HOWEVER, it's the outsourced devs that are given the rights to remake it that are the problem. The original passionate devs are usually not apart of it, or no longer share the same passion they once did.

It's known for godtier writing but the combat is fucking awful and not just because it's RTwP but because it's particularly shallow in this regard compared to other CRPGs from the same time. It's a story game (but good), and pretty much the only game where I recommend people play it while also telling them to just play on the lowest difficulty.
