It isn't that hard to understand, but i will explain to you since you can't see it. There are many games that have legendary status, known to be masterpieces of their time, but that are from an age that many people that plays videogames today weren't born yet. In some cases it isn't even possible for them to play the old classic, and even if it is, playing a game that came out on the PS1 era or even before that will definitely not hold up to today's standards.

So when they see that such a classic will be getting a remake and getting a release with a modernized version, they get hype, simple.
