I dunno, I guess its a subjective award. It's definitely a contender, though.

Story was great, characters great, gameplay great. I thought it was a bit too easy personally, but I'd say anyone who played the first would feel the same. Knowing how these contests work, Expedition 33 will probably win-but KCD2 certainly deserves some recognition.

First map is great, second map is meh. Also the combat is way too easy, they got complaints about the combat in the first game and their solution was making it trivially easy

First map main questline feels like a good continuation of the first game. I stopped the main quest right before meeting the jew so I can't speak on it but from what I watched it just shits the bed. SOME sidequests, knight in the mine/church ghost/returning the knights armor tourny were good. Everything else you said is true
