Headphones are fine as long as they are actual headphones and you aren't using retarded levels of volume. Around 1 to 5(out of 100) on the slider should be about right. High volume or IEMs are gonna ruin your ears.

7 months into tinnitus here. I stopped wearing headphones and tried to keep myself busy in whatever way I could. The first few months were hell, now it's pretty much still there but my brain has coped with it, I don't need a fan or white noise anymore to sleep in silent. I'd still prefer a permanent treatment though

don't worry. We're very close to having digital eardrum implants.

I've honestly had tinnitus for longer than I can remember, you get used to it eventually except when fuckers like (You) make me notice I have tinnitus and now I'll have to suffer for a couple of days, fuck you

>always had tinnitus since a very young age
>thought that that's what silence is supposed to be like and the little ringing in your ears is normal
>don't give a shit
I'm honestly a little curious about it but besides that it's been with me for so long i never cared.

i've ended two relationships over my partners not being able to tolerate me playing white noise while we sleep. unfortunate part is that i really don't feel it as long as there's some slight noise.
