One of the anons thats been playing crown and adventure. Not sure I'd recommend the game but it scratches that itch and I think I'm finally figuring out the game. Any case ran away from not china because they wanted me to swear loyalty to some dogshit emperor whos always scheming and his vainglorious eunuchs instead ran into the desert where the guys there just gave me a city for absolutely nothing. Even better after clearing the main story of the area they even offered to let me take control of the entire dynasty with a bonus of a super legendary weapon. I do appreciate that it's a choice though(if you reject there's an awkward silence and they just send you off) since the white kingdom just shoved land and 2 whores in my face without my consent when I tried their main story.

Those core stats actually do not seem to be big modifiers to your attack stat, and neither do levels so it feels like the game is just all about the equipment grind, but I already have maxed out strength, I'm like level 80 and I have an epic tier weapon and I'm still finding enemies that have a defense stat nearly double my attack stat, so I have no idea what the fuck to do other than restart and abuse that one NG+ skill that gives you 2 extra movement to ensure I'm never in range of any attack ever

Tale of Immortal bros, I don't really know what I should be doing. I picked the Natures in the beginning that gave me luck and insight since I read you cannot easily change those later, and am going Earth for the summon.
I have all earth moves (my basic attack is orange tier, special is blue and summons the golem) and an Earth travel skill.
I know you need to get fruits to raise your root from joining a sect, but the sect I got invitations for are spear and tree.

Do I need to just leave this starting area and go look for a sect with Earth since there's jack shit near me? The sign board only showed the one sect with spear crap and 3 towns.

That's how much 10 strength affects your attack at max level. It's been a long while since I last played, but those were my stats when I got the mountain peak ending on hard difficulty, although I think I reallocated them for the fight

Since you guys are talking about ToI, did they improve the translation? I remember playing some months ago and it could be hard to understand, particularly when some of the 5 Blooms girls were involved.

i am still waiting for a wuxia/xianxia game to be well written (in english), all of them so far have been high school level at best. Some have good themes/ideas and maybe in their original language it's well done but the actual words on the screen are always so fucking poorly written.

Is stuff like parrying client side (eg if you time it right on your screen then the parry works) or if you have 200 ping will everything be on a delay? Playing online in monster hunter or dragons dogma online and the combat is handled mostly client side, but playing online in say FFXIV or dota 2 and basically everything is server-side.

I doubt i'll be able to play the game with less than 170 ping so this'll be a dealbreaker.

You gotta get on that manual and base attribute grind. The easiest way to access legendaries and get a guided playthrough is doing the old man's questline, otherwise, you'll have to do your sect missions or other questlines.
You're also missing 950 attack and 620 def just because you're not max level. I power leveled at the Ye camp.

AS is your godstat early on and remains relevant throughout the game, don't neglect it.
Farming for some achievements at the start isn't an awful idea since they translate into more points for perks and give you a bump up at the start through your trained stats, though it's rather tedious skipping through the opening scenes a dozen plus times for the easy ones.
For your initial point spread I'd suggest dumping most of it into Int or Dex first if you're not too worried about the early game. Str is stupidly easy to raise, especially with a leveled up Back Mountain in your Homestead. Luck is even easier since you can literally just spam click the hero statue for 10 minutes. Con isn't hard to raise necessarily, but it is slow as shit if you're not constantly buying out Blue+ tier food and it's a huge drain on your wallet early on if you are.
I don't know when it was introduced since most of the shit I saw about the game is years old, but once your Homestead is unlocked I strongly suggest rushing the Steles if you want more combat power. There's a Fusion function for your martial arts there that's completely batshit for your powerlevels, as you can fuse two manuals of the same kind (I.E. two external or two internal, not one internal and external) into a new manual of a higher rank. If nothing else I strongly, STRONGLY suggest using your old man's manuals as fusion fodder for your Externals, primarily the Bitter Joy manual.

Minimum requirement is 1.0e+30 in attack power and defense, upgrade gear until you get to these stats. I would recomend having all ascensions and house upgrades as well but they aren't technically required. Then bring 100m+ peaches and goto the hell of blood pool, dive and consume peaches until it allows you to fight the hell lord. Repeat consuming peaches until you beat him.
Use the crown, and then goto the hell of mortar and pestle, throw away all of your food and wait until it says you can chalenge him. Then reincarnate to get 100m+ peaches to beat up the hell lord. After beating him up, use his crown. From there, you're no longer resource bound and you can challenge the other hells as you please.
This part gets very grindy so if you haven't already i'd recomend putting this.GameStateService.mainLoopService.bankedTicks += 10000000000 into the console to speed up.

No. It has swords, dual wielded swords, spears, a huge "glaive" which looks more like a two handed sword, some sort of rope weapon, a fan and an umbrella.
Some of these have multiple fighting styles, for example one spear style is about damage and the other is more tanky.

For gems you just check looking for trouble, put taunting enemies on your schedule and let it rip. Not much else you can do other than get a gemologist to auto merge your gems. Also make sure you're not also auto crafting using gems

Early on it's fairly easy to figure out what need to do a breakthrough. Usually you have two ways of doing it, the first is killing bosses that randomly spawn, the second is going to a certain area and killing enemies that attack you in that area to. Killing the boss is superior.

The bonus stats are worth the extra effort. Don't skip them.
If you want to get extra min-maxy, each item you add actually shows you what stats it'll give you. So you pick the ones with the best stats which is probably going to be attack and defence.

You are just at the beginning, you need to wander the map and find dungeons (green rocks that costs money to enter) kill the boss there for upgrade material.
The element balls have different purity which affects rank upgrade success rate. The high chance ones you can buy from sect after doing missions or by killing the bosses that spawn in element zones. Otherwise you can make 70-89% qis by farming trash in element zones for 100 shards and then combine the shards at a workshop in town

You do need a different fruit above 50, and you might as well be maxing everything so that you can hybridize or change builds altogether down the track depending on how things play out. You should be buying any fruits you can use on every shop refresh provided you have the contribution points to spare.

For blade, you're going to want to end up mixing it with fire anyway so you might as well trade in your excess blade fruits for fire fruits for the time being. Fire works well with every martial skill except perhaps spear, but there's probably a way to make that good as well (I'm not good at hybridizing spear in the first place). So if you're using a martial skill and you don't know what to focus on next, fire is always a safe bet. But you'll max basically everything as you go anyway. Here are the stats of my last cultivator and I was only using palm/fire/wind, but having everything leveled was still helpful for the occasional mind skill that had a universal passive that I wanted.

A "class" is like the antithesis of what a wuxia game should be. I liked how Age of Wushu did it; you can join a school, but all that really means is you get easy access to their kung fu styles. If you really want to, you can learn any kung fu style you want via theft and treachery, and there's tons of school-agnostic styles to learn anyway. You have to get some better manuals. Also look for some attack up and defence up passives. No need to be fast if you can defend against everything. Get rid of the wind stuff. Fire and earth is much better when you enter late game.
Try getting the imperial seal. Also go for the exam. Just cheat like everyone does since the translation is shit for chinese literature.
Have you maxed out your house? If you max out the place where you store manuals you get place where you can combine two manuals of the same rank to get a stronger manual. Although I played on nightmare mode with all the dlc so I'm not sure if you get that.
Getting strength and constitution to 25 basically makes lowers the difficulty by a rank due to the new statuses you gain. Also luck 14 basically makes you a gambling god.

With enough charisma you get a skill to recruit them at 1% for 1 mil taels or something like that each time. You just put that on (and something that makes money if you're early on) and fill them out.
With 10B charisma you can also train them which makes them way more effective. Training is iirc more efficient with more charisma. Training one to max doubles follower lifespans so they'll go away slower.
The big followers are mediators for charisma, hunters for stamina and health and priests for lifespan. (obviously builders, weapon/armor, scouts, the various stat builders have situational use too)
Imo once you're maxed out on the first two ascensions and have a seat of god bloodline rank (so ascensions 9-9-7 iirc) and aim for the next one don't bother. Go do impossible tasks (small button on top) that unlocks instead to aim for immortality.
Once you get to the point of being immortal and grinding out the rest to prepare for later stages i'd start just editing stats with: GameStateService.characterService.characterState.attributes.strength.value = 1155432804005456301611111111
And so on.
It's still a grind to get the final bloodline ascension because it's based on builders and particularly the atk/def necessary to go to the next part is imo retarded without stat editing. (1.0e+30 in atk and def minimum)
