>first game is considered a "hard" game but is still fair and fun
>devs make sequel impossible with cheap bullshit deaths everywhere because le hard game xD

Why does this happen so often

DESU this.
I really loved the art direction of 2.
Shit like the prison level was pure kino.
Rage inducing kino that is.

Learn how to use the camera.

if you think the second game is markedly harder than the first you should probably delete steam from your computer and get a new hobby

The most bewildering thing about the HM2 complaints is they act like there's any punishment for failure. You just press "R" and try again. The music should be loud and your blood should be pumping while stringing kills together and when you die, press "R", and string the deaths together again. It's just so fun I don't understand the complaints
>people off screen can kill you
No one is supposed to be no-death'ing a HM game. You're going to die and when some cunt off screen kills you, you try again knowing some cunt is off screen over there and then you can kill him from afar or bait him to approach.

Why is getting good so controversial? When did trying become passé?

Because 1 is much easier than 2, and increased difficulty usually draws complaints. Stupid, i know

The camera can move to get a good look of what you can do. If you get filtered by fat fucks, that's on you.

In case of hotline miami both games are janky, primitive garbage with cool vibes. First game was "focused" on melee and stealth while the second was a cover shooter with enemies blasting at you outside of your view.

the OST is the best part of these games

There was only like one genuinely frustrating Richter level, maybe some tedious Son levels. Still worth it for the absolute kino Beard levels
