They were rewarded for being attractive not for magically inheriting skills and credit from the man they stood next to. People genuinely believe she directed assassin's creed because she's the only person they remember seeing when that game was being advertised.

I've seen countless people make that mistake online, she has given many interviews about her career and specifically the development of assassins creed. Everyone working in the game industry knows producers are glorified line managers, they look at spreadsheets and manage people's schedules yet she is treated like a creative lead. This mistake in perception then leads to her being given entire studios to run which all end up failing. Something similar happened with Leslie Benzies but atleast that was due to an internal reputation for wrangling schedules and not standing on an E3 stage.
