It's better, 0.98 added cool support crusier, unique ship, 2 endgame factions in abyss, luddic church mission and new tri tach character you can sell stuff too, colony crysis got reworked for better and a lot of qol updates.

Unironically I think i've only played it for 2-3 hours in that 12 years. Good game but I wanted to wait until it was finished before diving in. I should probably get stuck into it before I die of old age though.

Fuck off, the last significant update was the one that added colonies, and that was 7 years ago. On top of that colonies are just a bloat and a time sink cause there's nothing else to do in the game

The game needs something to break the monotony of the status quo. Be it an active Threat(lol) that has some sort of in-gamee objectives or a plain old sudden death scenario akin to Star Control death march

It's indie game developed by 2 dudes.
It will take a while before it's finished.
It's worth playing tho, there is a lot of content between core word trade, story missions, redacted, exploration, colony managment and new colony crysis, and abyss exploration with brand new enemies.
