I sometimes question whether this could actually be a good game and I just dont know. I dont care much about the dialogue and "rpg" stuff as i think most rpgs lack the writing foundation to make that meaningful. But it was really that skill up video where he showed how disappointing the puzzles were that killed me on it being a good game, naturalistic puzzles are like the ultimate filter for AAA game devs. Level design too, but nobody really gets into the specifics of Dragon Age level design and whether its complex and requires navigation, or just simple and check every deadend till you progress.

If it just didn’t have the tranny, everyone here would have been talking about how besides the art BioWare is saved.

Why? What do you think makes it good? Im genuinely open minded enough to give it a look if i here something compelling.

It's alright. Bioware at their high point when it comes to companion work. The world is a bit generic. The effect interactions that D:OS picked up and expanded upon later are fun, but the balance is whack, and you can't see the math behind skills without hitting the wiki.

Name one crpg where lvl design and navigation isn't just "check every deadend to progress"

It's overrated but yeah it's one of BioWare's few good games.

DAfags, if you still exist, never look up what DA4 could have been. You'll want to kill yourself again.

Fucking nothing? Unless the license is torn from whatever's called Bioware at the time. Who cares, it's a bland setting that got worse with every entry.

Even if you ignore the progressive dumbassery the game isn't good. The gameplay is serviceable at best, every character except Solas is boring or outright obnoxious, the lore gets shit all over on, and respect for choices players made in the past games is zero.

Seriously, if Bioware or a different dev who gets the IP wants to revive this series they WILL have to say Veilguard isn't canon to have any chance of success. There's no salvaging the story if it's allowed to stay canon.

I already know I followed development I don't think it would of turned out as bad as it did with the older vison but EA wanted a live service witch didn't help then it single player again. I don't it could of turned out good with who was working on it.
Anonymous No.725271951 [Report]
I still haven't played Inquisition, but I even thought 2 was fun on a first playthrough, so it can't be that bad. Origins is another level, seriously one of my favorites of all time.

reading through that comment section makes you value 4chan despitei all its shortcomings.
every single negative comment is deleted unless you sugar coat your negative opinion or qualify it.
And i swear it feels like half of those comments are bots or shills. 500 people are commenting on dragon age review article in 2024?

Veilguard is funny because they backstabbed the straight woman audience, aka one of the biggest buying powers of moderm Dragon Age.

I already know, being a DAfag is like being a Grey Warden, you get one experience of being a hero and then its just diminishing returns and disappointment until you go to die in the Deep Roads (/v/)

>WILL have to say Veilguard isn't canon to have any chance of success
I already made a plan for this years ago but Failhard solidified it. Everything post Awakenings would be retconned and the games would be done over. Certain elements would remain the same like 2 (or whatever it is called) taking place in The Free Marches but changes would be made to fix certain issues. Every nation in the south would get its own game before Inquisition is redone and then and only then would the north be covered.
Anonymous No.725279379 [Report] >>725279641
>>725278571
the only way to salvage this shitshow would be to make the Bhelen victory for Orzammar cannon and have him and the Warden been preparing for the absolute worst for years now and a large portion of humans have been moved into the liberated portions of the deep roads and a combined dwarven/human/warden army is holding back the darkspawn, possibly with help from the architect and his liberated darkspawn

it would cut off a lot of optional endings from origins but at least it would make it so the Warden turned out to be exceedingly competent if pragmatic in the end
Anonymous No.725279641 [Report]

Or just retcon everything after Awakenings and start over. I mean what is actually lost from doing that?

Remember how trannies, journos and other subhumans defended the shitty game tooth and nail yet it performed so badly nu-Bioware was gutted? Apparently these wastes of carbon are still around!
You lost....and as time goes on you will keep losing over and over again!
