That's not really the case at all, the actual problem is that games are a team effort, yet a lot of these directors often think they can replicate their success with a completely different, way less talented/passionate team and end up obviously flopping.
Consoomers are entirely at fault for this trend of starting studios entirely predicated on one old dev and fifty underpaid indians/new grads/slavs. They think that good games will come back and make the world right again (i.e. how it was when they were children) because some QA tester or concept artist for Nostalgia Game #432 sprinkles pizazz on it. Do aging millennials just not want to accept that its been 15-20 years since gaming peaked and the good times are never coming back?
