Said it in the other thread, will say it in this thread: Physicalfags are delusional, games were already just licenses when they were on cartridges, they just had no reasonable way to revoke them.
If publishers were still doing mostly physical sales for games, then every game would have a 16 digit online activation code, and if you can't online verify (because you have no code, or the server is offline) you won't be able to play. We were already heading that way before digital took over. Game publishers would not give their digital rights nonsense up.
It's also worth pointing out for the "you will own nothing" fags: Steam has a history of not taking anything away from the user ever. Devs can requests access to be revoked, but valve itself, no matter what you do, has never taken anyones games away and likely never will as long as gabe still has something to say.
