Chang, if I wanted to "virtue signal that I hate China", than I've got way more fucking ammunition than recommending a Chinese game about China in an increasingly oversaturated genre (defending the best version of it), and I'd spend much less of my life giving a fuck about Chinese history and media. If the censorship patch made the tutorial enemy deal 1 less damage, then it'd still be making the game easier, the fact it invalidates the overworld exploration of ~30% of game in the lategame and basically removes your own punish frames is the rest of my argument.
It essentially goes from DS1's estus and punish windows to DS3's, in a game very clearly balanced around DS1's. Oppressive in-your-face bosses don't mean shit when you don't need to fully disengage and wait for a window to sippy up any more, and knockdown moves become beneficial to the player when they act as extended iframes you're better off staying on the floor until a boss combo ends, rather than massive vulnerability windows when the boss is able to chunk the rest of your health without you able to respond. The fact the "make everything shiteasy" changes came at the exact same patch as the "stop hurting the feelings of the chinese people" changes is a double entendre, and any chimp with two braincells to rub together can connect the dots.
I don't know why you're even bothering to bitch about it, I linked the uncensored version of the game anyways; the only conceivable reason you have for carrying this argument on is that you're trying to convince others to play the censored version for a significantly worse experience. Censorship is censorship, if you want it, get the fuck off the one website on the internet that hates it's own jannies.
Eat shit and die wumao bootlicker, the white man has spoken.
