Lmao I did the same. There was some weird stuff behind some walls. Hearthome City cathedral was the most interesting for that.

Always wanted an Action Replay after looking it up on YouTube but they didn't sell them here. I first had the R4 with no cheats which I lost not long after getting it and then me and my dad both owned the M3 we played our games on. Ultimately Action Replay had the best cheats because it had the vital fun cheats that my M3 didn't have.

Owning several cheating devices helped me understand that I don't actually like cheating.

I liked that doing this didnt even feel like cheating or hacking because having a small window of time to go to a real store and download a code that effectively gives you a bridge to access whats already in game was bullshit as is
straight hacking a wild encounter did feel cheap and I never felt good doing it
