If you paid attention to the game, you'd notice that super-earth never actually BEATS the foes they create. They just use them as a means to an end, the end being, ironically, no freedom.
The 'good ending' of the series is if they kill the leadership of super-earth and then crush the retarded foes they made once and for all.

If you're playing Bug/Bot/Squiddie(+Zombie) genocide sim in an attempt to be "The good guy", you're a complete retard. The joy of this game is to land into a hostile world and obliterate hundreds to thousands of enemy targets with handheld weaponry and polishing off attacking swarms with absolutely ridiculous ordinance.
