Christians say that they didn't create a scientific progress dark age but somehow ancient egyptians and romans were super advanced and it wasn't until the last 200 years we caught up to them again?

Scientific progress for technological progress wasn't really a concept humans had until maybe the last 200 years.

But It's pretty clear that ancient civilizations were stone age imbeciles like we pretend.

Romans already had water powered devices like a water powered piano for their games.

Plus they almost developed steam power, and were using complex devices made of slave and animal labour runing gear shit.

The ancients did some advanced shit we confirmed were correct until the XX century using geometry and philosophy as core intelectual tools.

Backgammon IS the hot shit.
Anonymous No.725370856 [Report]
In Kuon for PS2, you can unlock a game called "sugoroku" (specifically ban-sugoroku) that's similar to backgammon but has more restrictive win conditions. I loaded it up one time just to play with a friend. It was actually pretty fun.

Somehow ancient greece and rome were better than what we have now. Their destruction of nature was limited to their cities, but now we're destroying nature on global scale and we have the threat of nuclear apocalypse.

Romans vaguely figured out things like Pascal's law over a thousand years before him so they definitely weren't cavemen, people vastly overestimate modern age mentality, the human mind didn't really evolve much in 3000 years and we were already figuring out shit way before the industrial revolution and 20th century tech acceleration, we just made a massive breakthrough lately thanks to literal millennia of accumulated knowledge

christcucks are destroying western civilization at this very instant, the US regime's century of humiliation is only getting started

well, the diference is that the focus on modern science on testable data from experiments wasn't really a thing up to maybe Galileo.

So ancients didn't really realized they could gain better knowledge by testing the hypothesis with empirical experiments.

That's the diference with modern and ancient shit.

kind of weird thing to say out of the blue. Strange strawman you're forming. And additionally, strange how "certain technologies were lost and certain technologies were gained" isn't possible in your mind.
Also bonus black death did kill scientific progress for a few hundred years, it would be silly to not mention it

did you forget that rome singlehandedly clearcut the forests of europe?

If we dig precious things from the land, we will invite disaster.
Near the Day of Purification, there will be cobwebs spun back and forth in the sky.
A container of ashes might one day be thrown from the sky which could burn the land and boil the oceans.

well, I did not claimed modern science to be a perfect endeavour.

If anything natural philosophy by it's methodology is stuck in materialism.

Which is an incomplete philosophy to all the realms of reality, like metaphysics.

But I was trying to explain why the ancients lacked the modern tech we now have to make AI cunny porn.

Romans were probably destroyed by some virus, barbarian came to empty cities. It required a few centuries for them to restore the order somehow (the plague striked again)

We barely know anything about ancient civilizations to begin with so we can only assume and infer from few surviving artifacts, and it's very unlikely that they would be able to progress technologically as much as they did without a solid scientific foundation.
Something like the Antikythera mechanism only survived to this day thanks to very specific circumstances that kept it relatively preserved, circumstances that don't exist in your typical ancient ruin. The technology it employs is far above any other evidence we have of the time, meaning we don't really know shit.

We can infer from their writings, that they weren't actually retarded like some of us would initially think.

Dark ages dont exist and only retards think they did. What happened is muslims formed and attacked and made impossible to travel on sea or have coastal towns. Then mongoloids from asia also started attacking. Defense or dying and enslavement was only options. Cant have progress when struggling to keep.humanity alive again st hordes of subhumans. Once stablized, we have renaissance and age of enlightenment. Sadly, its real dark age as we trusted jews and uplifted subhumans and now light of humanity will go out and endless dark age will follow.
