As much as I love the first game and the story, it's so hard to replay it with the combat.

That's why fans have been wanting a remake for so long. I'm glad I have nostalgia for the series so I have no problems with the original(and know a bit about code hacking). I just feel like no matter what they do, a modern remake or remaster would be disappointing.
