The only thing it has is Rockstar firing its employees for trying to fight back against the saarification practices. If you expect it to be any good at all you're in for disappointment.

people have some retarded mind virus that makes them think these games do anything new or groundbreaking, when they don't. GTA 5 had a few side mission/activities (mostly minigames) which most people don't go near. RDR2 was the same, only it "innovated" by having you collect 10 bear asses to craft a backback upgrade.

these games are not special or mindblowing, they are just the most marketed. GTA 6 will be like GTA 5 but a little bigger, a little better looking, and that's it-most of the content will be aimed at the online (where they make most of their money) and when you pre order it for $80 or whatever reatrded price you pay, you'll realise approximately 5-6 hours in that yeah-it's GTA.

the games are fine, but anyone who thinks that these games are special just because they sell a trillion copies to third worlders, children and edgy teens outs themselves as one of those things.

That's how I feel about crimson desert. In dev for 8 years, drops trailers that puts in a bunch of different stuff in it. At this point they've pushed themselves into an impossible to deliver corner. They did it to themselves when it inevitably disappoints.

GTA still hasn't surpassed the immersion and world size they achieved with San Andreas and it doesn't even look like they're trying to anymore. Just more evidence that video games peaked in the mid 2000s.

San Andreas had multiple states, not just multiple cities and they really feel like completely different cities, like they combined 3 separate games into 1. Before GTA IV was announced, I was envisioning the next game to be even bigger and maybe even cover the entire country. Instead they went backwards and the entire game industry has been regressing for the last 20 years. The strive for bigger and denser video game worlds died in the mid 2000s, replaced with boring realism and extremely sparsely populated worlds. Basically the definition of "style over substance".

Is OP official art or has AI gotten so good now it not only has gotten over the "giving people fucked up fingers" problem but now knows the concept of trigger discipline?

rockstar had the chance before 5 after the release of 4 to make 5 more or less realistic than 4 (or the same) and they went with less realistic, shitty need for speed driving mechanics, unrealistic protagonists (lol methhead is angry all the time epic)

with 6 they have had the same choice, less or more realistic, this decision is what will make or break it for me but, as ive seen the majority of people who play 5 are kids or cringe immature retards, its sad but thats probably the demographic of gta players now, which may nudge a less realistic release, from the pre-alpha footage i saw i cant really make sense either way but, with the inclusion of RP servers stressing at least some level of realism that could be expanded upon in 6, the success of RDR2 which stresses realism could play a part too, though i have no confidence that i wont be utterly disappointed

in short im expecting shoehorned political commentaries, social commentary and a fucking shitload of pay to win content
