What went so horribly wrong? It's almost 2026 and the PS5 still has only one (ONE) noteworthy exclusive. Even the PS3, which originated the no games meme, had more games. Also why aren't there any games that look on par with the tech demos they showed in 2020? All games released for this thing still look like they could easily run on the PS4.

They don't need the games anymore, they rely on third party 30% and hardware it's apple once again. It was noticeable how insane normies were about the console without games, Sony is a lifestyle brand now

I dunno what's the explanation, but it feels like third party quality has dropped down altogether and exclusives' dev times are so high that it can take the whole 5-6 years of a console's lifetime.
Naughty Dog's next game is gonna come out for the PS6 when their last game was a PS4 one, for example

Why does everyone here care about exclusives so much? The PS5 is cheap and plays most games well. If it does what you need it to do then it’s fine.

I bought a PS4 last year after skipping the last 3 generations and sticking to PC. It cost less than €100 and is essentially a glorified bluray player because fuck paying for online and Sony exclusives are 90% made by Marvel writers who couldn't land a job making movies. I can only imagine how shit a PS5 must be

PS3 got tons of games during its lifetime. Even though it spawned the nogaems meme it was ironically the last console with games. PS4, Xbone and Wii U? Nogaems. Switch, PS5 and Series X? Even more nogaems. What's even funnier is, that all the dystopian shit that the Xbone was pushing and caused it to fail is now commonplace. Gaming is rotting from the inside out, as is everything else nowadays. What the fuck happened to the world?

Marathon and Fairgame$ are still supposedly coming out. Marathon even had a new playtest a few days ago. Most of their projects were also cancelled before Concord even came out.
