>So what do you want people to do?
I want people to do better. First of all, update the fucking law to the 2025 and ancient boomer cuckery.
>If they stop using steam, is there a different platform they should be using?
Yes. No platform. So like GoG. A storefront with an OPTIONAL launcher, but you just get your game installers just like you did with dvds, cds, floppy, etc.
>Almost nobody sells physical PC games anymore
It doesn't exist. It's still digital, just on a portable drive. You can put all of your gog installers on a flash drive and call it physical media, if you want.
>so I assume you want them to switch to a different digital platform.
Nah. Cucks can continue using Steam. At end of the day, it doesn't matter much, tbqh. Everybody chooses whatever they want.
>Are you also going to pull the 'vote with your wallet' shit
It's too late for that. We're adults. Some of us even have full time jobs. We have to change the fucking law. Mostly to preserve games and really cement that "owned copy for personal use" thing, like EU does.
>believe that you could somehow bring physical back
you don't have to. People who care for that shit usually are adults, like me, with resources. So we build our own PCs, home servers, buy a NAS, etc, you name it. We have backups of our games and mods on multiple drives, so we'll never lose them.
>Because that's what it'd take.
Nah, you're wrong fags. Average gamer is like 36 years old or something. It's time for the law to change. Industry will follow, because it has no other choice.
Or just be an oldfag playing, enjoying, and hoarding (old) games, and keep them on your drives and backup drives.
